Steve Jobs is noted as wanting to reinvent three things: television, textbooks, and photography. Looks like that is exactly what is happening and the company Lytro may be part of that equation. Technology seems to be moving toward simplicity which some may argue is not progress at all. In either case, moving forward or backwards, check out this new form of camera and let me know your thoughts.
Julie: The concept is really cool but I can't see myself seriously using it yet. I think that when this technology makes it in to a more serious camera then maybe we will have something, still to me, an image is much more than the camera equipment. I know this opinion is not shared by many purists. At the end of the day, I don't think that it's your film camera, digital camera or light field camera that makes the perfect photo. Throughout ancient history the Peacock has symbolized meanings of all kinds. In Greco-Roman mythology it was associated with the vault of heaven and the eyes of the stars while in Hinduism the Peacock conveys benevolence, patience, kindness, compassion and good luck. For Babylonia and Persia, we see it as the guardian to royalty while in Christianity its’ symbolism represents resurrection, renewal and immortality. But of all these rich references, the most notable to me in recent times comes from a favorite movie of mine, The Kunfu Panda 2(hint of humor) :)
The Peacock is associated with fireworks, which is exactly the sentiment experienced as Chloe and John celebrated their marital vows of commitment, loyalty and honor to one another. The colorfully vintage detail that adorned the Spanish River Library, had carefully selected details to reflect the authentic taste and personality of a couple who places greater value on people than any other aspect of life. Best man Anthony shared a memorable parallel of palm trees being rooted and growing together to Chloe and Johns relationship over the years. These two seem to have effortlessly molded into one shape while remaining true to their roots and dreams in life.
From my vantage point, Chloe and John were hand stitched for one another and surrounded with loved ones each step along their path. You can see it in the way they hold on to each other…the way they look at one another…the way they laugh together…the way they connect.

With upbeat tunes pulsing in the background, the room was filled with emotion as the ladies shuffled along in preparation for presentation. Soaking up each other’s magnetic personas along with the breath taking ocean view, the twenty-fifth floor of the Aqualina Resort + Spa never beamed with such radiance as Carly adorned herself with an elegant sense of beauty for one purpose, one occasion, for one man.
Freddy’s safe arms awaited her as they shared the anticipated first look. Devoted, yes. Vulnerable, without question. I heard her whisper underneath her breath while coming down the stairs to the courtyard, “I’m nervous”. Their bodies molded around each other with an embrace, which clearly stated, “I know it’s only been hours, but I’ve missed you and have been waiting for this moment my whole life...with you I know that I belong.”
They may not have envisioned this day six years ago upon first meeting but the evidence of their love for each other resonates with anyone watching today as though they were never apart.
Love has arrived, but it does not always come easily. In most cases, it requires a great deal of sacrifice, vulnerability, devotion, and commitment while holding on to hope with both hands as though your life depends on it. That is exactly what these two have done and the payoff was worth every effort!

Doing what she loves while allowing the rest to just fall into place comes natural for this genuine, loyal, and caring bride to be. Of course anyone who knows Chloe will quickly identify her love of animals, good coffee, an occasional tattoo and always having close friends nearby. Growing up on the soil of Virginia farm land, Chloe possess the distinct ability to see through the "fluff" and make choices that only fortify her roots and ground her identity. Holding true to her clear sense of what sincerely matters in life, some may say that Chloe marches to the beat of her own rhythum - be it so, her instinctual rhythum has led her into the arms of love.
John's witty sense of humor and punctual mind set won over Chloes heart as a mutual friendship circle was the gateway to their romance. John delicately balances his matter of fact perspective with an uncanny ability to "balance the boat" by keeping a smile on everyone's face...especially Chloes. His willing disposition and desire to see her happy makes it simple to recognize the clear connection these two possess as they carve out their life-nitch together.
The pearl of being with who you love is a rare one. Savoring one another is the simple joy of life. Building a life time of happiness is treasured by kings. Chloe and John have all of these.
Sometimes you look on at a couple and say to yourself, “how did they end up together?”… or, “I just don’t see it”… but in the case of Carly and Freddy, there is no mystery to figure out, no puzzle pieces to put together and no question why they are on the pathway to marriage.
Carly lights up the room with her smile and cannot help but make others feel good about themselves. Her nurturing spirit is only shadowed by an honest beauty and a trustworthy character that brings out the best in others while she enjoys all that life has to offer next to the love of her life.
Freddy is confidently quiet while his situational analysis remains actively streaming in the background. His laid back and friendly approach keeps him locked onto a well-rounded perspective that fuels his drive in life. He is a thinker with clear calculations and a rationale that grounds him to a secure and bright future, which leads to the one area he can live without reserve – his love for Carly.
Together, this New Jersey girl and Argentinian boy are in the fast lane to reaching their mutual goals with a promised future of security in one another's arms while living each day to it's fullest.
We toured a few key spots that were hand picked for these two and the results were as refreshing as Carly and Freddy are themselves to spend the day with. Beautiful landscapes, affectionate moments, and a sun shining day full of smiles made for an amazing lifestyle shoot!
