Suna and Scott: Engagement Session Central Park

Engagement
As fate would unveil, Suna and Scott's relationship surprised them both as matters of legal counsel quickly developed into undeniable attraction. Scott's collective demeanor and balanced persona met its match through a simple phone call that would reshape their reality, as Suna simply requested good advice and in return found the man of her dreams. With her captivating baby blue eyes and nurturing spirit, Suna's warmth and compassion captured Scott's heart making way for another New York romance.

We had the pleasure of connecting with Suna and Scott for the first time at a Miami wedding we documented of newlyweds Scott and Kimberly Goodwin. So after a few quick and easy phone calls, we realized we were flying out to NYC once again for an amazing five days of shooting their central park engagement session along with a soul felt wedding celebration at the University Club (that post is coming soon).

Sometimes things just happen

Engagement , Lifestyle
Okay, okay....so I've had my hands full with tons happening on both business and personal levels beyond what I ever expected - but along with the waves of "happen-stance" comes the trill of riding those waves and the great news of progress that creates history!! I'm looking forward to sharing the latest accomplishments of Mike Meyer Photography, future goals, hot releases, personal updates and well... just good ol' blog material to keep life interesting. For now, here are a couple images from an amazing engagement session of the past with Erika and Dustin that illustrate how the unexpected can from time to time just hit us out of nowhere - can anyone relate?

Marina Sablyak: I looked at your blog today trying to find the cell phone attachment for my husband. What a blessing to find the engagement pictures of my daughter and her husband! At this very moment my husband has some waves crashing on him, i.e. stress with a particular project at his work. Then I showed him the pictures, especially the one with the wave that looks like a heart. He then realized what is really important and how close our Father is to those who know Him and love Him. Thank you. Only One could have created such spectacular waves and only one, at that moment, could have captured it and "see" it. May God continue blessing people through you and through the gift that He bestowed on you. 3.6.09 at 10:06 AM

Stacy and Lance Engagement

Engagement
Today I received an unexpected email. To my surprise, a friend I haven't heard from in roughly fifteen years found me through Facebook and yes, as expected, I was elated to be in touch as I recalled a handful of high school memories within a split second. As I continued reading, I quickly realized the immense role that memories serve in our lives as we are in many ways anchored by what we remember and equally by what we forget. In my response I expressed how each person we know carries a key to a unique side of "us" that allows us to be who we are. A simple child's expression or a loved one's look of affection can literally change the course of our day which is why I am continually inspired with each opportunity to capture a couples life and interaction. The reality is, I never really know what I'm getting into with each couple. In the case with Stacy and Lance... well we had a handful of introductory telephone conversations and the next thing we know, they are flying in from New York durning Thanksgiving time to shoot their engagement session! We arrived in Palm Beach and took full advantage of their breath taking front entrance as they danced in the soft light that fell beautifully across the landscape. A big congrats to you guys and thank you for being an absolute pleasure to work with (not to mention your adorable puppies). We are looking forward to your wedding day in 2009...

Janelle and Rene Engagement Session

Engagement
We had an absolute blast with Janelle and Rene on one of the most relaxed engagement sessions of all time. Having never met Janelle, we were booked for their December 6, 2008 wedding (our last wedding of the year), with only one meeting at a local Starbucks with Rene about 8 months ago. Well needless to say, we were more than pleasantly surprised at how well these two interacted with each other but equally as important, how well the four of us just seemed to gel! We are looking forward to a spectacular wedding day in weeks to come but for now, here are a few images from our time together.

Karina and Manuel Engagement

Engagement
This day started off extremely well as Karina and Manuel asked if I knew who Peter Lik was upon arriving to their home in Coral Gables. Peter Lik!, of course I do." I became a fan of Peter the moment I walked into his studio on South Beach Lincoln Road (if you ever get the chance, make sure you visit his studio to see his amazing works of capturing nature. So after they expressed their love of photography and art I knew we had a great day ahead of us....and indeed we did. These two definitely enjoy being in each others company as they strive to build a future for each other while maintaining a constant love. Karina and Manuel, thank you for spending the day with us as we are looking forward to your wedding day in November.

Always finding cool spots to add a punch of color

Of course we had to have a little fun through out the day

We made friends while we were out...to lovable!

Coral Gables provides great tree coverage that makes for the perfect backdrops

and after a little persuasion, play time in the water was at hand...
