Peak Into the Future

Personal
Steve Jobs is noted as wanting to reinvent three things:  television, textbooks, and photography.  Looks like that is exactly what is happening and the company Lytro may be part of that equation.  Technology seems to be moving toward simplicity which some may argue is not progress at all. In either case, moving forward or backwards, check out this new form of camera and let me know your thoughts.

Julie: The concept is really cool but I can't see myself seriously using it yet. I think that when this technology makes it in to a more serious camera then maybe we will have something, still to me, an image is much more than the camera equipment. I know this opinion is not shared by many purists. At the end of the day, I don't think that it's your film camera, digital camera or light field camera that makes the perfect photo. Remember that no camera or computer software can make a nervous portrait subject feel at ease :) or take that spectacular photo composition. 1.31.12 at 10:38 AM
Ricki Ford: Just like when digital came out and raw, it made photographers lazy with the shoot and fix in photoshop...Lets don't for get the 5000 images photographers take and only need 10. Technology is moving forward but it seems to be making people more lazyer <----if that's even a word.Ricki Ford a.k.a. film lover! P.S. don't get me wrong i love tech stuff i have a lot of it but digital has taken the art out of photography. 3.5.12 at 7:33 AM
